Wow. If you’ve never read Kerry J Donovan, this is the book to start with. It has all the good things you want in a page-turning book, measured out at the right intervals to keep you guessing. It starts with a thunderous storm belting down on the hitchhiker, Chet Walker, moves into emergencies, fights, mystery, small-town distrust, secrets, a bank robbery, murders, and of course love, and ends with (SPOILER 
), all set against the stunning and visceral backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, USA. For someone who’s never been there, I could feel the cool lake breezes and breathe the freshly-rained-on smell of the forest while reading and it was an amazing armchair get-away from my real life.
You won’t regret downloading this fast-paced adventure with a tinge of romance weaved through the mystery-solving action.
